Friday was the day I left London and headed out to Essex to catch up with Rod and Chris.
I meet Rob and Chris in Afan south wales in 2013 on my way to India.
We have kept in touch since then and they have kindly invited me out to theirs to stay and ride with them.
it was a 40 min journey from Liverpool st station to get out to Rayleigh.
Chris meet me at the station ans we headed home to drop of my luggage.
Rob came home early and we bikes over to the track, about 40 min away.
I had arranged to meet with Michael to view and test out his bikes.
Mike had a fatty, tandem and a 29er plus range of Ti bikes for me to look over.
Mike is the designer of the bikes and they are made in China. Mike has worked with 3 manufacturers to find the right one. The quality of the welding was top notch. He also has a carbon fork made to his design and the whole package was awesome.
The fat bike with the next carbon rims is 10.1kg ready to roll.
The track is very smooth with man made rock features so nothing to really tax the bike, but it climbed like a rocket and had a awesome trail based geometry.
Current frame price is 1400 ukp. Good value I think, better if our dollar was not out the ass.

We then headed from the track round to Hadleigh castle
This site overlooks the Thames estuary and out to sea.
When then headed back home and stopped into the local for a pint. As you do!
Well, a very good start to the holiday, thanks to Rob and Chris.
