After about 3 hours of climbing we got to the top of the 3rd Dodd with the mountain still to come.

The wind was still howling and I was very cold. To get up to the top we had to contend with a narrow Ridge with a drop on both sides so thought it best to stop here and leave the top for another day.

The last bit of climbing up through this rock garden. We had made our decision to summit this bit and return back down this way as the decent from here on a side trail was the most technical run down.

As some of you may know, I have a small quantity of my mother's ashes, I take Jean away with me on my big journeys and let her spirit join me in these amazing places. I bet She is loving this wild place!

It felt a bit like the Alps to sea race, but alas it's only a lake. Lol
